I love it! I Really Do.

Ahhh.
it's the end of a very long and hectic day. I should be tired and dropping off to sleep but i cant just yet. I keep thinking about how very blessed i am to be in this home . Sure there are rough patches and times i come steaming up to my room threatening to move :D...but overall....i love it! So i decided to list just a few of the reasons why:

Teaching a class to Bible Study students who come over at all hours of the day sometimes.

Going down the kitchen in the middle of the night when stricken with hunger, only to find four others already there and trying to secretly cook. This always ends the same: we end up combining all our foraged snacks together and making one big happy midnight potluck.

Walking into the kids classroom and having all the kids scream your name and tackle you for hugs.

Movie nights---where we pause it every so often and take turns translating or pow-wowing it for the nationals.

The diversity of nationalities. We could have culture nights going forever.

How everytime i hear people clapping or cheering i immidiatly wonder who's pregnant.

Playing Boggle or Scrabble with the non-native English speakers and all of us busting our sides as the come up with words like "elishfic" or "shex"

Trying to convice people to belly dance with me, or coerce the men to do such random things as hoist me in the air or spin me around during my dancing practice.

Running to hug the nearest person after i get off the phone with someone who just decided to become a supporter.

Teaching the guys in the home how to bake. Getting covered in flour and bathed in milk, and watching them struggle with the fine details of "stirring" or "pinching"...and in the end making some delectable snack that we can all feast on.

The never ending birthday parties to plan.

Laughing our heads off as we impersonate each other.

watching the newer memebers gulp down such things as fermented whisky, spiders, crickets and frog heads, while we old timers pretend we love to eat the very same snack.

And so on. I could go on for hours but you get the basic gist of it.
I love this life! I really, really, really do.
And i love you too!
