The Bridge

I got word from a friend of mine today that her boyfriend had passed on.
After putting together some bits from Glimpses of Heaven and a few Power Points, I was praying about what else to send her when I got this:

Watch the wave’s crash up on the shore. Feel the cool wind caress your face. Let the tears slip down unnoticed. Life goes on. Life lives on even though you’ve lost it all. You can look up and believe that somewhere in the sun-setting colors he’s up there waiting for you. You can see the bridge and know he's on the other side of it.
When the sky turns black and the thousands of stars come to twinkle down at you, turning the tears on your cheeks into sparkles, he’s up there watching you. You feel the wind, like so many gentle fingers, brush across your face.
And he’s still up there watching you.
But more than watching you, he’s right beside you, holding you in his arms. He’s on to living a life much happier than you could dare imagine. So happy that if you could take a glimpse of him, you wouldn’t ache anymore. Your eyes would brighten, and your mouth would turn up into a real smile.
He sees you. He’s still with you, your invisible guide.
The veil is so thin, so translucent. It’s almost as though you could reach your hand up and brush right through it, and yet there’s always a boundary. That bridge through the sky that you cant quite reach. Press your hand up against the glass and imagine his hand on the other side. So close by.
The day will come when the glass is shattered, the veil is tossed aside, The bridge meets with the path of your life. And then you can hold him in your arms again.
But for now look up, look up at the stars and smile back at them.
He still loves you
And he wants you to carry on.
