Hot Key--Electricity

It goes something like this:

8:30 am--great, devotions over, now to get straight to all the secretarial work that's been piling up....
(sound of fans and computers switching off)
Arg...not a power cut.

12:00---finds me enthusiasticly cleaning the storage room in prep for the return of electricity.

6:30---wow, power's been on for a WHOLE 6 hours......what an improvement!
(sound of fans, lights and computers switching off.)
no....not when i was about to give a bible study !

10:00---say goodbye to exhausted sheep who just spent the last 2 or so hours playing night tag in the dark with various other home members.

Next day, same story, execpt it goes out at noon and returns at 6:30 in the evening, regular as clockwork, day in and day out.

Until one day.....i got kind of tired of it all. It was my WNR and i was desperatly looking forward to a sleep in, but was awoken by the all-too familiar sound of the electrical things turning off.
"Lord..." i began, throwing the covers off me, and far too hot to go to sleep "I'm really tired of having so many power cuts every day....since it's my WNR can You please make them give it a rest? Because well, i dont wanna have to spend all morning dousing myself in ice powder...i just really think there are more important things to do with my time today..anyhow, do they have a key of electricity? well no matter, i'll forge one right now. I call on the keys of electricity for this power to turn on right now!"
(sound of fans and computers turning on INSTANTLY)

me: wow, why didn't i think of that before?

moral of the story---the key of electricity is now my very favorite key, lol.

Heheheh, cool testimony! (Pun not intended, but realized! :) Make "them give it a rest?" I was wondering, who is "them"?

Nina, 'them'would be refering to the people at the electric company who hold full and TOTAL control over the power shortage for various parts of the city.
Kirsten, yes it is that dramatic. Thanks for those prayers. sure need em.

Wow... you'd think the electric company might at least put out a schedule for power cuts, so the various parts of the city can be prepared productivity-wise. God bless u guys, roughing it out over there! I'll be praying for a good generator for u.
