Happy Birthday Melody!!

Lately I've been going through some trials about saying goodbye to a dear friend or loved ones, its Christmas time and its the time when the memories come easily ,this is a compilation of things i want to write down, these quotes put my feelings to words, for the past years i've been going through trials with friends, these help me cope with it. In fact, not just cope with it, but turn your loss into gain.

I got these off of Mama's site, they apply to me a lot and i want to dedicate this mainly for Melody's Birthday, but I wanted to include my closest and dearest friends too.

When saying goodbye to a friend or loved one, I’m greatly comforted by knowing that:
  • I can stay in touch with my friends, even if we’re not living or working together anymore. There are many ways to communicate and share our lives and changes and growth, and to spur each other on to greater things. We can still avail ourselves of each other’s support and understanding. The fact that we understand each other will enable us to support each other in a very intimate way—and most effectively through our prayers.
  • My friends and I will have all of eternity to be friends and to share our lives.
  • Jesus will help to heal the pain or loss as I look to Him and His Word.
  • When my heart and spirit is knit with another person, that bond is eternal and cannot be broken by time or distance.
  • Jesus will not allow anything in my life that He doesn’t want to be used for good in some way.
  • I’ve had the privilege to know such special people; my friends will forever be a part of me.
  • There are other wonderful people to be friends with, and the loss I feel in my heart helps me to reach out to them.

Here are some things i'd like to say to you....

You encouraged me when I was down.
You made me feel like I belonged to someone.
You helped me learn new things about myself.
You listened to me.
We connected.
I know you stand up for me when someone criticizese me.
You supported me when I was weak.

The greatest thing you can do to show your love for your friend is to make your life a living example of all that person means to you and all that your friendship has been worth. When you use all the beauty, goodness, kindness and lessons you learned together, it becomes a living testimony of your friendship that draws others in and causes that friendship to take on an even greater meaning.

Here are some classic expressions that impressed me the most.
Faithful friends are a sturdy shelter: whoever finds one has found a treasure.—Sirach 6:14
Friendship is a responsibility, not an opportunity.—Benjamin Franklin
To the world you are just one person, but to one person you could mean the world.—Unknown
Good friends are like stars; you don’t always see them, but you know they’re always there.—Unknown
A friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love, and encourages you with hope.—Unknown
Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.—Helen Keller
Friends are God's way of taking care of us.—Unknown
There is no distance too great between friends, for love gives wings to the heart.—Unknown
How blessed I am to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.—Unknown

LOSS of one who is dear to you.
INVESTING the blessings of friendship in other lives.
F
INDING that friendships lost live on in you and those you reach out to.
ETERNAL bonds of friendship that encompass others and last forever.—Unknown

Happy Birthday Mel!!
