How About Some Tea?

I was trying to find a nice place to have a cup of coffee on my WNR, and we stumbled across this new Coffee shop titled “Sentiment Café”
Anyway, so I go inside and after some contemplation, order a brownie and Peppermint Tea smoothie. When it came my turn to pick up my order, the waitress handed me what looked like a chocolate milk. “Where’s my brownie?” I asked her.
“In the tea.”
I did a double take “What?! Why?”
She appeared flustered. “Because…..you ordered a brownie and tea.”
“but I didn’t ask you turn it into a three in one.” I looked inside the cup and could indeed see the flecks of almond and chocolate icing floating around inside.
“Well….now that I made it already, can you just pay for this now, and get a separate brownie and tea next time?” She asked hopefully.
I was indignant. “I don’t think so. I don’t want to pay the net price for one cup of brownie/tea.”
Thankfully her manager came over, and after finding out what the situation was, she promptly had her redo my order…..but I did get quite a few good laughs out of it once I was safely out of earshot of the poor befuddled waitress.
More than once I’ve thought of compiling a book of all the misshapen restaurant orders that have happened here to myself and people I know. It happens often, but it’s not something you get annoyed about as much as amused, because they do it with such innocence, you cant really be mad at them.
